Gol-janno Construction Company (GCC) is a nongovernmental, nonpolitical, profit-seeking sole proprietary company established in Burao in 2015. Owned and managed by Eng. Abdirisak Awil Yousuf, the company was founded by a group of Somaliland university scholars to modernize and revolutionize the construction sector and infrastructure development.

Following the prolonged subsequent war that left most basic infrastructures badly damaged or completely demolished, there have been substantial improvements. However, most of the country's infrastructures—including roads, water systems, energy sectors, health, and education structures—are still below required standards.

GCC is not only engaged in contracting efforts but also in researching, developing, and introducing commercially feasible and economically viable new technologies. We are increasing our market share by attracting new customers from the private and public sectors, as well as humanitarian organizations. We also plan to expand operations to central and southern Somalia where we carried out some contractual activities previously.

Our primary objective is to skillfully construct and develop Somaliland's infrastructure through research and innovation, overcoming existing challenges effectively and efficiently. GCC is backed by experienced stakeholders, professional civil and electric/electronic engineers, managers, accountants, and experts in environment, law, and protection.
